The Wrestling Observer are reporting that Jason Jordan is currently working through a "significant" neck injury and WWE are doing their best to protect him during matches.
Dave Meltzer had previously claimed the Raw star was wrestling with a back injury, but he has since corrected himself via the Observer's radio show and revealed Jordan's issues are neck-related.
Worryingly, Jordan has also been having real problems with his grip. That's something WWE will be keeping an eye on, because such a strength weakness usually spells trouble and means someone shouldn't be in the ring at all.
The same report said that although Jordan's tag partner Seth Rollins was also injured and has been working with a bad back, Jason's problems are more severe. This is a case of art imitating life. Kurt Angle, his on-screen father, has a painful history of neck injuries and has wrestled through the pain barrier more than he perhaps should have in the past.
Jordan's own pain must be why WWE kept his work at Royal Rumble minimal. A kayfabe injury there played an important role in the match story and led to Jordan/Rollins losing the Raw Tag-Team Titles to The Bar.
