An AEW star has commented on their future of their faction after the group has recently been exploring different configurations.

While participating in an online signing for K & S WrestleFest, House of Black’s Buddy Matthews had an intriguing thought about the future of the faction.
When asked about where he saw himself in five years, he still mentioned House of Black and went on to make an important distinction about how he sees the group.

Matthews said:
“I think with the House of Black… we don’t necessarily have to go down the same path as every other group where it disbands in a bad way. Like, where we can still be under the same umbrella but go and do our own thing.
“I think we’re very supportive, and whether it’s Brody (King) doing singles or all of us doing singles, as long as we’re still under the same umbrella, I think that that’s something cool and unique.
“That’s one thing that isn’t up to us, if that makes sense (Matthews said about his singular presentation while part of House of Black). The House of Black is three individuals. Whether the individuals are put together and whatnot, that’s out of our control.”

The House of Black has seen some distance in the group as of late with Julia Hart out of action with injury after having last competed at AEW Dynasty in April.
The remaining members of Brody King, Buddy Matthews and Malakai Black have continued to appear, sometimes in tag team action as well as occasional trios matches.
