On tonight’s WWE Raw, CM Punk addressed his return to WWE that shocked fans and gained over 70 million views across social media platforms.

CM Punk said it was a little bit corny, it was a little bit cheesy but he had to tell the truth.
“Once upon a time an American Dream taught me that as long as you speak from the heart you can’t go wrong because it’s the truth and this is the truth: I’m home.”

Saying that he had come back to this familiar place and it had made him feel like his ‘old self,’ going on to add:
“This is where I belong. This is home and I’ve been gone ten years and over ten years you people never forgot me…”

Describing that it felt “like a family reunion,” in the back, he also touched on a hot topic amongst fans and apparently well-wishers backstage as well as he said many asked him about his wife, AJ Lee.
“By the way, AJ is fabulous and she sends her regards,” Punk said with a smile as the Nashville crowd cheered.

While Punk said that everyone had welcomed him back with open arms, it was actually ‘almost everybody.’
He called out those who weren’t so happy to see him in the back as afraid, afraid of not measuring up to being the Best in the World anymore now that he had arrived.
CM Punk ended the segment and the show with the crowd shouting his name as he held the microphone up.

Then staring directly into the camera as the show went off the air CM Punk said, “I’m back. I’m not here to make friends, I’m here to make money.”
Elsewhere on tonight’s show, Randy Orton competed in his first singles match in over eighteen months as he made his in-ring return on WWE Raw.
