WWE Raw will be switching to two hours from October 7, 2024, on USA Network ahead of its move to Netflix in 2025.
The news of the change was revealed by Raw commentator Joe Tessitore during last night’s episode of WWE Raw.
WrestleVotes has now revealed further backstage details regarding the change via Twitter, specifically when WWE production and social media staff found out about the change and the internal reaction to it.
According to their WWE sources, “many production and social staff who work behind the scenes found out in real-time” along with the audience at home.
A source would also reveal that, with WWE Raw moving to Netflix in January 2025, the company is “eagerly anticipating the freedom to vary run times as needed.”
It was also noted that “no firm decision has been made either way” when it comes to run times on Netflix, posing a potentially major change from how wrestling works on traditional TV networks.
While it remains to be seen how this will be implemented, Dave Meltzer revealed that WWE Raw on Netflix would be returning to being a three-hour show in comments made on Wrestling Observer Radio.
JJA Sport Studio will provide further updates on WWE Raw’s move to Netflix as/when they become available.
