On tonight’s September 30, 2024 episode of WWE Raw, the legendary Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio was unmasked during his match.
For the first time, Rey Mysterio took on Xavier Woods in a singles match, and while Woods picked up the win, it was by dubious means.
With Mysterio being unmasked by Woods, leading him to be vulnerable to the pinfall, it was unclear whether or not the move was intentional on Woods’ part.

In a later backstage segment with Kofi Kingston, Woods assured his longtime stablemate that the action was not intentional.
Kofi Kingston would then inform Woods that he had good news as well as Jey Uso had offered Kingston a title match next week.
However, Kingston turned it down and instead nominated Woods for the match, so next week, Uso will defend the Intercontinental Championship against Woods.
Elsewhere on tonight’s WWE Raw, Uso opened the show by debuting a new iteration of the WWE Intercontinental Championship belt.
