An upcoming championship match for TNA Wrestling star Joe Hendry in WWE NXT has now been officially confirmed.

On tonight’s August 20 WWE NXT, there was a three-way match to determine who would advance to meet NXT Champion ‘All Ego’ Ethan Page at No Mercy.
The match was Pete Dunne vs. Wes Lee vs. Joe Hendry to see who would move on to face the champ.
However Page, who was on commentary at ringside, would prove to be pivotal in the match as he interrupted multiple pinfall attempts.
But as Page was holding back a second referee from counting a pinfall in favor of Joe Hendry, Trick Williams would sneak up on Pete Dunne, hit a Trick Shot and revive the downed first referee.

Joe Hendry was then able to recovery and picked up the victory, and will move on to face Ethan Page for the NXT Championship at NXT No Mercy.
On Sunday, September 1 on Peacock the WWE NXT No Mercy premium live event will feature several more matches that were confirmed on tonight’s show.
After winning a gauntlet eliminator match, Jaida Parker will go on to face Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s Championship.

Also, Axiom and Nathan Frazer will challenge Chase U’s Andre Chase and Ridge Holland for the NXT Tag Team Championship.
Also, after the main event three-way match, Zachary Wentz jumped over the barricade to attack Wes Lee, seemingly cementing their previously teased grudge match at NXT No Mercy.
Other matches announced were NXT Women’s North American Champion Kelani Jordan defending against Wendy Choo, and men’s North American Champion Oba Femi defending against Tony D’Angelo.
