To open tonight’s WWE NXT, a new challenger for the NXT Championship emerged and Intercontinental Champion Jey Uso broke up the tension.
Trick Williams would open tonight’s WWE NXT as he was congratulated by the excited crowd regarding his second NXT Championship reign.
However the celebration wouldn’t last long as he was interrupted by potential new challenger, Wes Lee.
Although Wes Lee wouldn’t have long to issue his potential future challenge to Trick Williams, as instead, both were interrupted by Jey Uso.
Uso successfully retained the WWE Intercontinental Championship in a match against Xavier Woods although was promptly attacked by Bron Breakker after the win on last night’s Raw (October 8).
Making a big entrance, he ended up not saying much as he joined Trick in the ring with the crowd joining in on dueling ‘Whoop that Trick’ and ‘Yeet’ chants.
The pair would remain in the ring as the team of NXT North American Women’s Champion Kelani Jordan joined the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill to take on Fatal Influence.
