Ahead of SummerSlam 2024, top WWE star Seth Rollins has revealed his goal as referee for CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre.

After being screwed out of the World Heavyweight Championship thanks to their rivalry at Money In The Bank, Seth Rollins has found himself in the middle of the CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre feud.
Rollins will serve as the special guest referee when the two bitter rivals finally go one-on-one this Saturday, August 3 at SummerSlam.
On the July 29 edition of Monday Night Raw, Rollins gave his referee instructions to Punk and McIntyre with all three men made it clear that they hate each other.

During an appearance on ESPN’s Sportscenter, Seth Rollins was asked whether he could be objective when there is so much animosity between himself, CM Punk and Drew McIntyre. He answered:
“I can because I hate them both equally. I want them both to suffer the exact same amount, so I’m gonna do my best to work that out.”
“It’s gonna be up to them, who’s gonna pin, who’s gonna make who tap out. We’ll get to all that. I’m gonna make sure they beat the crap out of each other,”

When asked whether he anticipated getting involved in this Saturday’s match as other special referees have, Rollins replied:
“I hope not. The goal is not to be. You gotta understand, the reason I’m in this position is because neither Drew nor Punk could contain themselves in the lead-up to this.”
“There was too much going on. No referee wanted to be a part of it. The match wasn’t gonna get sanctioned until I stepped in and said, ‘Hey, I can throw on the ref shirt. I can give it a shot.'”
“I’ve never done it. First time in my career. I’ve never at any level been a special guest referee, so I’m very excited to see what it’s gonna be like out there,”

CM Punk also appeared on ESPN as well on their First Take show to discuss his SummerSlam match with Drew McIntyre.
