Kurt Angle thinks the PG Era is good for Professional Wrestling Kurt Angle thinks the PG Era is good for Professional Wrestling

Back in 2008, Vince McMahon made the decision to change WWE programming from TV-14 to PG. This removed much of the sexualised content and blood from WWE TV which has received both praise and criticism in the past 12 years. The reduction in blading and other violent moves in the ring has been commended, but some fans think it has contributed to Superstars being less fleshed out than in the past.

One Ruthless Aggression era star thinks the PG era has been good for professional wrestling as Kurt Angle told a fan during a Facebook Q & A that wrestlers are able to stay healthy and it allows WWE to market their programming to families.
The WWE Hall Of Famer penned: "I think the PG Era is good for wrestling. I understand that we had more creative control over our characters before PG, but the fact that the PG Era came around has helped the wrestlers stay healthier. Drug tests, physicals, doctors, trainers, have become important to taking care of the health of superstars. The attitude era was special, but the wrestlers did not have the benefits of what these superstars have today. PG Era needed to happen. Plus the fact that WWE is marketing to families instead of young adults."
