AEW announces Bash At The Beach return!
Having not been seen or heard of since Vince Russo called Hulk Hogan a “big, bad son of a bitch", followed by Booker T defeating Jeff Jarrett to become WCW World Heavyweight Champion, Bash at the Beach is making a return!
As revealed by AEW, the Wednesday, January 15th edition of AEW Dynamite will be the launching point of a nine-day Bash at the Beach fan experience. That January 15th Dynamite will take place at the Watsco Center in Coral Gables, Florida, and tickets will go on sale this Friday at 12pm EST.
The #AEWDynamite scheduled for Wednesday, January 15th in Miami, Florida has gotten just a little bit bigger now as the event will be Officially Titled: BASH AT THE BEACH— All Elite Wrestling (@AEWrestling) November 18, 2019
Tickets go on sale THIS FRIDAY, November 22nd at Noon ET for AEW’s #BashAtTheBeach.https://t.co/UN1cNj1kQq pic.twitter.com/SWvFt3b61T
In a press release, AEW promised that its Bash at the Beach events “will deliver nine unforgettable days of wrestling and much more from the hottest company in the business today”.
As for what we know about these nine days of Bash at the Beach goodness, the only other confirmed piece of information is that the January 22nd episode of AEW Dynamite will actually be filmed from Chris Jericho’s Rock ‘N’ Wrestling Rager at Sea Part Deux: Second Wave.
Cody Rhodes filed for the Bash at the Beach trademark this past March, with that annual WCW PPV running from 1994 up until the aforementioned 2000 event which spectacularly fell apart.
In addition to Bash at the Beach, Cody has also recently put in to trademark All Elite Wrestling Blood and Guts. Famously, Vince McMahon’s early reaction to AEW involved mocking the “blood and guts” style of the burgeoning promotion. And now, it appears as if AEW are lining up Vince’s words as the name of one of their 2020 PPVs.
