Lana shoots on CM Punk after WWE Backstage comments
CM Punk popped much of the WWE Universe when he fantasy booked Bobby Lashley and Rusev into a tag team "Loser Keeps Lana" match through WrestleMania 36, though it looks like the former 'Ravishing Russian' herself wasn't exactly thrilled by the WWE Backstage correspondent's language.
Lana tweeted the following last night, criticising the 'Voice of the Voiceless':-
I know you’ve been away from @WWE for several years. Perhaps moving forward, you will favor #WWE and @FS1 by refraining from misogynistic comments like “chica.” Thank you. #WWEBackstage https://t.co/aiPzcNI83n— CJ “Lana” Perry (@LanaWWE) December 11, 2019
No comments on the booking idea itself, though.
Punk's tongue-in-cheek plans had Lashley and Rusev forming a bond despite their recent struggles. They'd then become drinking buddies and team up to face a Lana-managed tandem at WrestleMania 36, with CJ Perry suspended above the ring in a shark cage. Both teams would seemingly be at their wit's end with the Floridian - hence the "Loser Keeps Lana" stipulation
The ballad of Bobby, Lana, and Rusev has been one of WWE's most controversial and divisive storylines this year, but it now looks set to come to a head in a Tables Match at this Sunday's TLC pay-per-view. Whether or not this will be the end of it remains to be seen, however, particularly with talk that Vince McMahon is a huge fan of the programme.
