A new segment has been announced for this week’s May 10 edition of AEW Dynamite involving the TNT Championship and it’s holder Wardlow.
For the last few weeks both Christian Cage and Luchasaurus have been looming over newly crowned TNT Champion Wardlow.
With Wardlow and AEW fans assuming that the purpose of this ‘stalking’ was for Christian’s protege Luchasaurus to get a title shot, it was actually revealed by Christian last he wants a shot at Wardlow’s gold.
And now to follow up on this AEW have announced on Twitter that Christian will be appearing on Dynamite in order to make his case for a future title shot against Wardlow.
Wardlow is just over two weeks into his third TNT Championship reign, defeating Powerhouse Hobbs on the April 19 AEW Dynamite.
Christian Cage has not competed since losing the ‘final burial’ match at AEW Revolution to ‘Jungle Boy’ Jack Perry.
The line-up for this week’s show is looking rather stacked, with AEW President Tony Khan recently labelling it a PPV in reference to the loaded card.
Alongside Jon Moxley vs Kenny Omega in a cage match there will also be two title matches as well as a no holds barred match.
The card for Wednesday’s edition of AEW Dynamite is as follows:
No Holds Barred – Julia Hart vs. Anna Jay
Open House Rules match for the AEW Trios Championship – House of Black (c) vs. Bandido & Best Friends
AEW International Championship – Orange Cassidy (c) vs. Daniel Garcia
Double Jeopardy Match – Claudio Castagnoli vs. Rey Fenix
Steel Cage Match – Kenny Omega vs. Jon Moxley
