Bryan Danielson addressed his AEW future to close tonight’s episode of Dynamite after he won the AEW World Championship at All In London.
After having previously said that he would “not go quietly into the night” in his final year as being a full-time in-ring performer, Bryan Danielson addressed AEW fans after having finally captured the AEW World Title.
Saying that when they got to the back, his daughter Birdie had told him that the day was the best of her life, Danielson was grateful for the AEW All In London win.
He would go on to become tearful when saying that after the win, seeing his peers greeting and congratulating him was the best moment of his career.
The crowd would go on to chant, “Thank you Bryan,” before he would go on to give details about his future.
His contract with AEW expired on August 1, he will need neck surgery sooner rather than later, and his family is ready for him to come home – so after a lot of thinking after Sunday, he had come to a conclusion.
He said that he realized “that it is probably time for me to go home… but not yet” as he went on to say that he will NOT retire as AEW Champion, he is going to fight for the title as much as he possibly can because “he still has a lot of heads to kick in”.
He would go on to confirm that at AEW All Out 2024 he intended on defending the title against anyone who would come get it, first come, first served.
He was then interrupted by an on-screen video from Jack Perry who told him that no one believed in him when he returned, including Bryan Danielson.
Listing his accolades of punching Tony Khan, taking out Kenny Omega and burying Darby Allin in a coffin at Wembley Stadium, Perry said that his future was to retire Bryan Danielson and become the AEW World Champion.
Perry would then sneak up behind Danielson in the ring and attack him, ending the segment standing tall holding both the TNT Championship and the AEW World Championship with the match set up for All Out.
