In the first match of the night in Las Vegas at AEW Double or Nothing on pay-per-view, has a top star suffered an injury?

After a big stipulation match kicked off AEW Double or Nothing, did Matt Hardy gain control of another AEW star’s contract?
There was a big trios on the pre-show for tonight’s AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view with a stipulation attached as HOOK, and the Hardys took on Ethan Page and the Gunns, with the stipulation that if the Hardys’ team won, Matt Hardy would get control of Page’s contract.
During the match, it appeared Jeff Hardy could have legitimately injured his leg or ankle twisting for a neckbreaker, which you can see the video of below.

After that incident, Jeff also seemed to slip while attempting a Whisper in the Wind of the ropes, possibly a result of the earlier issue.
By the end of the match, while moving a bit slowly, Jeff Hardy returned, completing a series of major moves including a Swanton Bomb on top of Colten and Austin Gunn.

Jeff did leave without needing assistance so it doesn’t seem to be a serious issue, but we’ll keep you posted with any updates.
In the end however, it was actually Ethan Page who tapped out to HOOK’s Redrum in order lose the match and control of his AEW contract to Matt Hardy.
