AEW fans are still recovering from Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay’s incredible IWGP United States Championship match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
With Ospreay now picking up the win, the pair are now 1-1 in their matches against each other, leaving the possibility for a potential rubber match.
Speaking with Dark Puroresu Flow, Ospreay was asked about the possibility of a third match with Omega.
Ospreay said that at the time he was hoping to put it to bed, but now he hopes to direct his attention elsewhere.
He said:
I asked Will Ospreay if we will see a Kenny Omega rematch:

“At the time I’d very much like if we put this to bed as it is tied 1-1 now. Now everything has kinda settled I’d almost like to direct my attention to new challenges & allow those 2 matches to just marinate for now” pic.twitter.com/sg1bnmG8ba
Ospreay is set to take part in the G1 Climax tournament, starting next month.
Omega did not appear on last night’s AEW Dynamite, but is set to feature in Blood and Guts on July 19.
