In the AEW Double or Nothing post-show media scrum there was an update on Mercedes Mone’s status for the Forbidden Door pay-per-view.

Mercedes Mone made her first AEW post-show media scrum appearance after her first ever match in the company yielded her a big win.
Mone captured the TBS Championship at AEW Double or Nothing and after the show she appeared alongside AEW CEO Tony Khan and NJPW President, Hiroshi Tanahashi.

During her time in the scrum it was confirmed that she was willing to participate at Forbidden Door, telling Tanahashi to essentially have his people call her people.
Specifically, for him to let Tony Khan know who she would be facing at the June 30 pay-per-view event, AEW Forbidden Door.

Forbidden Door takes place on June 30, and will once again be headlined by AEW and NJPW, although there has been talk of CMLL and STARDOM talent being involved this year as well.
Elsewhere in the interview, Mercedes praised her opponent Willow Nightingale noting that she was one of the best she had ever been in the ring with throughout her career thus far.
Mercedes Mone became the TBS Champion by beating Nightingale for the title at Double Or Nothing tonight.
