It appears as though Colt Cabana is once again working behind the scenes in All Elite Wrestling, with reports suggesting that ‘Boom Boom’ has been backstage at recent shows.
Dave Meltzer, writing in The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, reports that Cabana has been working as a backstage producer for AEW, with Cabana recently shown in the background on the most recent episode of Being The Elite on YouTube.
Cabana’s role in AEW was believed to have been over following the revelation that his contract was not due to be picked up in Summer 2022, prompting rumours of interference by Cabana’s former friend CM Punk. It was later reported that Cabana re-signed with the company but would be working for Ring of Honor as an in-ring talent and backstage coach.
Cabana last appeared on AEW TV on the November 22 edition of AEW Dynamite, where he challenged ROH World Champion Chris Jericho, a match reportedly requested by Jericho himself. Cabana later said he nearly died during the bout with ‘The Ocho’.
