Another champion from NJPW has expressed interest in facing off against AEW star Bryan Danielson.

Danielson is set to appear at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 18 in January 2024, with him recently calling out Kazuchika Okada for a rematch following their Forbidden Door clash in June.
Okada isn’t the only NJPW star who has their eye on Danielson, with Shingo Takagi revealing that he’s intrigued by the possibility of this match-up.
Speaking with Sports Illustrated, Takagi commented on the likelihood of a potential AEW appearance.

Naming Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli and Samoa Joe as stars he wants to share the ring with, he said:
“There are quite a few Japanese wrestlers doing their thing in AEW, aren’t there?
“I’d like to see Bryan Danielson again. Seeing him in the ring would be fine.
“I just missed Claudio Castagnoli and Samoa Joe when they were in ROH, so I’d like to mix it up with them sometime.”

Takagi is preparing to battle another AEW talent, set to defend his NEVER Openweight Championship Trent Beretta at Friday’s NJPW Lone Star Shootout event in Texas.
Okada isn’t the only NJPW star who Danielson has fought this year, having pinned NJPW WORLD TV Champion Zack Sabre Jr at AEW WrestleDream on October 1.
Zack Sabre Jr will soon travel back to North America for another big match, which you can read more about right here.
