An update has emerged on former TNT Champion Sammy Guevara, ahead of his return to AEW TV.

Guevara has been off TV since suffering a concussion in his match at AEW WrestleDream on October 1.
Former AEW star Fuego Del Sol has now commented on Guevara’s status, noting that he believes that Guevara is preparing for an imminent return.

Telling MuscleManMalcolm that Guevara wants his return to be high-profile, Fuego Del Sol said:
“Yeah, me and Sam, we talk every day. He’s legitimately one of my best friends and a lot of times we don’t even talk wrestling, we talk about all the other crazy stuff in the world going on.
“He is feeling a lot better and his return is imminent. I definitely thought he was gonna be on Dynamite recently in that 8-Man Street Fight.
“However, he wasn’t back yet, but I know he wants to come back in a major way. So we’ll see where the tide takes him.”

A recent report actually confirmed that Guevara was originally planned for the street fight which took place on the November 15 edition of Dynamite. He was ultimately replaced by Brian Cage.
Guevara’s wife and fellow AEW star Tay Melo is also expecting to give birth to their first child pretty soon.
We will continue to provide updates on Sammy Guevara’s status as they become available.
