The Lucas Brothers and Mookie Thompson are set to team up to produce a documentary on a top AEW star and their partnership with a rapper.
AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland’s career has taken to new heights since he joined AEW back at AEW Revolution in 2022, with he and rapper Flash Garments working together to produce his Big Pressure theme song.
Now, the partnership between Swerve and Garments is set to be the topic of an upcoming documentary, produced by the Lucas Brothers and Mookie Thompson.
Per Deadline, the document will feature the two coming together after they were both cut from their previous roles as part of WWE and Kanye West’s crew, and how they came together to help raise Swerve’s profile and become the first black AEW World Champion.
Speaking to Deadline, Swerve said:
“Flash Garments and I were introduced to one another at very interesting times in our lives. We knew we were meant to make history with one another by collaborating hip hop and pro wrestling on a different level. The Lucas brothers captured it in the best light possible.”
Swerve is set to defend the AEW World Championship at the upcoming AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door event against AEW International Champion Will Ospreay.
