Former WWE star Ricochet has addressed fans claiming that he ‘secretly’ made his AEW debut on Saturday’s (July 20) Collision episode.
The most recent Collision episode saw the AEW in-ring debut of masked luchador Hologram, who defeated Gringo Loco in singles action.
Hologram is portrayed by former AAA star Aramis, who was personally given the new gimmick by Tony Khan.
Ahead of Hologram’s first AEW match, some fans speculated that Ricochet was the star under the mask, following rumors that Ricochet is AEW-bound. This was, of course, never actually the case.
Ricochet has now taken to Twitter to address these rumors, confirming that he didn’t remove all of his tattoos and get shorter to become a luchador.
The former WWE Intercontinental Champion wrote:
Everyone, unless I got major tattoo removal and lost a couple inches (please, I can't lose any more height, haha). This isn't me

Ricochet has wrestled as a masked character in the past, competing as Prince Puma in Lucha Underground for several years before joining WWE in January 2018.
The high-flyer became a free agent at the end of June.
