Adam Cole has posted a cryptic MJF message on social media amid his ongoing absence from AEW TV.

As MJF approaches his first defence of his new AEW American Championship against Will Ospreay at All In London on August 25, his opponent from the year prior’s event remains on the sidelines: Adam Cole.
Cole and MJF headlined the inaugural All In London event in August 2023, with MJF successfully defending the AEW World Championship against his then tag team partner.
Just weeks after this match Cole would suffer a serious ankle injury, with the former WWE NXT Champion still yet to make his return to the ring after almost a year.
Despite his absence, Cole remained on TV sporadically – before being a part of a huge heel turn on MJF at AEW World’s End in December, resulting in the formation of The Undisputed Kingdom alongside Matt Taven, Mike Bennett, Roderick Strong and Wardlow.

Cole’s last TV appearance came at AEW Double or Nothing in May, where he performed an in-ring promo that led to MJF’s return  from his own injury absence – with MJF attacking Cole.
This, and MJF’s own heel turn over a month later has left the status of the rivalry uncertain, despite that Cole has potentially teased that he may still have his eye on MJF when he does make his return.
Taking to Twitter, Cole wrote a cryptic message along with a picture from he and MJF’s days as a team.

Cole wrote:

JJA Sport Studio will provide further updates on Cole’s injury status as/when they become available.
