WWE Hall of Famer and AEW star Jake Roberts has discussed a potential return to the company and Lance Archer’s potential.
In March 2024, Jake Roberts surprised some fans when he announced that he had re-signed a new deal with All Elite Wrestling, extending his run that started in 2020.
Throughout his time with the promotion, Roberts has managed Lance Archer and The Righteous.
In a new interview with Justin of The Wrestling Classic, Jake Roberts confirmed he is still with AEW. He said:
“It’s still going well, I’m still there. We’re just not doing much.”
When asked about the atmosphere in the company, Roberts said:
“I love it there. I love Tony Khan, man. Right now, he’s trying to do so much, he’s got a stable of wrestlers like no other.”
When asked if he thinks AEW has used Archer to his full potential, Roberts replied:
“Oh god no. No, they haven’t man. He can do so much, he’s probably the best big man in the business.”
Roberts was then asked if fans will see him back in All Elite Wrestling, answering:
“Oh yeah. Yeah.”
When asking about how he’s currently feeling health wise, Roberts answered:
“I feel good. I’m having to occasionally go on oxygen. You know, I’m 69 years old.”
“If someone would have told me that I lived to 69, I would’ve laughed at them, because I’ve been pretty rough on myself. Partied hard for about 25 years and I really abused my body, my soul, and my mind.”
“But, I’ve been sober now for twelve years. Nothing, no drugs, no alcohol, and just trying to enjoy life. I’m doing it.”
On the October 5 edition of AEW Collision, Lance Archer made an appearance where he was approached by Don Callis who asked if he is still represented by Jake Roberts.
