A new press release from AEW has revealed a brand new ‘multi-region’ broadcast partner to bring shows to fans in Mexico.
AEW issued a press release sharing the news that FOX Sports Mexico had acquired the rights to air its programming, starting with this Saturday’s WrestleDream pay-per-view.
The press release reads:
“Mexico City, October 9th, 2024.- FOX Sports Mexico continues to expand its content offering for fans of international professional wrestling. We are proud to announce that we have acquired the multi-region broadcast rights to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), one of the most prominent wrestling brands in the world, which has experienced unprecedented growth and fan acceptance since its creation in 2019. Its global popularity was evident during the AEW All In: London event at Wembley Stadium, where over 50,000 fans attended.
“With this long-term agreement, FOX Sports Mexico will broadcast all AEW programs and special events, including AEW Dynamite, AEW Rampage, and AEW Collision. Beginning this Saturday, October 12th, audiences will be able to witness one of the most impressive wrestling events in the world, AEW WrestleDream, taking place in Tacoma, Washington.
“The agreement will also feature other notable events to close out the year, such as AEW Full Gear on Saturday, November 23rd and AEW World’s End on Saturday, December 28th. These events highlight AEW’s growing global presence, with its major pay-per-views attracting audiences across various regions and rapidly building a dedicated fanbase. All Elite Wrestling includes an extensive roster of wrestlers from around the world, featuring stars like Bryan Danielson, Swerve Strickland, Darby Allin, Chris Jericho, FTR, The Young Bucks, Mercedes Moné, Will Ospreay, Adam Cole, Britt Baker, Saraya, Red Velvet and Toni Storm, among others. We are confident that the audience in our country will be drawn to this exciting content, which also includes the participation of Mexican wrestlers who have made a name for themselves in AEW, such as Thunder Rosa, Komander, Hologram, The Beast Mortos and Dralistico, among others.
“To enhance the experience for our audience, FOX Sports Mexico will debut the All Elite Show, a dedicated original production to analyze the week’s most relevant matches and provide previews for upcoming AEW events. This program will air every Monday night.
“Get ready for AEW WrestleDream this Saturday, October 12th, starting with the Pre-Show, called Zero Hour, at 6:30 p.m. ET and the main PPV event will run at 8:00 p.m. ET exclusively on FOX Sports Premium, or by downloading the FOX Sports MX APP, with the quality that defines our broadcasts.”
