With the announcement of a continued partnership with both TNT and TBS, Tony Khan was asked whether he had considered a roster split for AEW.
Looking at the wide variety of stars on the AEW roster, Tony Khan was queried during the pre-WrestleDream media call on whether or not he had considered splitting the roster between shows.
The AEW President and CEO said that it was an interesting thought, one that he has spent some time considering.
He also said that it’s too early to speculate as there’s more to come in regards to the new media deal.
Tony Khan said:
“It’s not a bad thought. It’s an interesting thought. I definitely have considered many iterations of roster management and still working on some really interesting things in terms of the future of AEW media and the future of the roster.
“It’s early to speculate on that frankly going into the new deal and what’s to come. But it’s a very interesting thought and to be honest I have reflected on it and thought about it.”
Elsewhere in the media call, Tony Khan spoke about Daniel Garcia returning to AEW television on last night’s edition of AEW Dynamite.
Tony Khan had a rare Wednesday free as ‘Title Tuesday’ was held last night (October 8) ahead of Saturday’s pay-per-view, WrestleDream.
