AEW star and former ROH World Champion Dalton Castle has shared an injury return update.
On the July 10 edition of AEW Collision, Roderick Strong defeated Dalton Castle to become number one contender for the ROH World Title.
During the course of the match, Castle suffered an injury. It was later reported that Castle suffered a torn biceps, and Tony Khan revealed Dalton would be out of action for the rest of the year.
Appearing on Allison Rosen Is Your New Best Friend, Dalton Castle confirmed his torn biceps injury. He said:
“I tore my bicep. That was back in July. It was the last match I had. The guy I was wrestling, it was just a freak accident. It hurt. I was freaking out.
“The guy I was wrestling took a cheap shot at me or advantage of the situation. It sucks. I was supposed to go hiking the next day. I lost the match. I lost my hiking trip.
“Now, I spend every day in physical therapy, and on the weekends, I go antiquing.”
When asked when he might return, Castle answered:
“We’re projecting end of the year. I’m thinking January, I’m back.”
JJA Sport Studio will provide any further updates on Dalton Castle’s injury status when they become available.
