AEW star Daniel Garcia has reflected on his first loss in the AEW Continental Classic tournament against Claudio Castagnoli.

On the November 25 episode of AEW Collision, Claudio Castagnoli defeated Daniel Garcia to earn his first three points in the Blue League of the Continental Classic tournament.
Prior to the bout, Garcia had an interview on AEW Rampage where he expressed his doubts heading into the tournament.
After his first loss, it seems like the doubts have only grown larger for the former Jericho Appreciation Society member.

In an AEW digital exclusive, Daniel Garcia discussed how he can’t share the feeling of being a loser after his loss to Castagnoli. He said:
“Why can’t we come back and just be honest with ourselves? I’m going to be vulnerable with you every single time. I just had one of the toughest matches of my life against somebody who, I didn’t think I was better than, but I thought I had a chance.”
“I had a little bit of a chip on my shoulder coming into this match and he European Uppercuted that chip right off my shoulder.”
“It came back on my shoulder and he knocked it back off. I had my family sitting in the front row and I got my ass kicked in front of my family,”

“If that’s not pain and — I don’t want to say motivation to do better, I don’t think I need more motivation. earlier, I said I felt like a loser.”
“I feel like just losing matches doesn’t make you a loser. If you lose a match, you’re not a loser, but for some reason right now, I lost a match, and I feel like a loser deeper than that.”
“It’s deeper than just losing a match. I feel like a loser myself and I don’t know how to knock that feeling out of here.”

Daniel Garcia will have a chance to get his first three points in the Blue League of the AEW Continental Classic when he faces Andrade El Idolo on the December 2 edition of AEW Collision.
