An AEW faction returned after over a year away on tonight’s episode of Collision by reminding fans through a vignette of their presence.
While the Premier Athletes may have been in action this Spring in Ring of Honor, they haven’t had a match in AEW since May 2023.
The group has transformed slightly since then, adopting the official group moniker of Premier Athletes (formerly Varsity Athletes) and were presented in the video as serious competitors.
You can see the entire clip below.
Elsewhere on tonight’s episode of AEW Collision, Roderick Strong won a match against Lio Rush and then went backstage and made his demands of his boss, Tony Khan.

Also on tonight’s show, Thunder Rosa beat Reina Dorada in the latter’s AEW debut.
There was also a backstage interview segment where Toni Storm noted that her ‘Forbidden Door was wide open’ as she pledged to locate a Forbidden Door opponent.
Take a special look at The Premiere Athletes!
