On tonight’s AEW Dynamite there were several new matches added to the upcoming AEW WrestleDream 2024 pay-per-view.
With the next AEW pay-per-view fast approaching and taking place next Saturday, October 12, the card has continued to take shape.
On tonight’s Dynamite, it was confirmed after a contemptuous exchange that Chris Jericho would face Mark Briscoe for the Ring of Honor World Championship at WrestleDream.
Darby Allin issued an open challenge for the pay-per-view in his proverbial backyard with the location for the event being near his hometown.
Also, in a backstage segment Katsuyori Shibata challenged Jack Perry to a TNT Championship match for WrestleDream, which Perry accepted.
Shibata would come out later to assist Private Party (Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen) when the pair were engaged in fisticuffs with the Young Bucks.
Private Party had challenged the Young Bucks to a title match for the AEW World Tag Team Championship however it has yet to be confirmed when that’ll take place.
Already announced for WrestleDream before tonight, Bryan Danielson defending the AEW World Championship against Jon Moxley.
That status of that was confirmed as Danielson retained his title against Kazuchika Okada in the main event of tonight’s show, so Danielson vs Moxley is still on.
Next week’s edition of AEW Dynamite is a special ‘Title Tuesday’ as the first hour of the show will air head-to-head against the second hour of WWE NXT on The CW.
