AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson has provided an update on his health heading into his championship defence at WrestleDream.
Danielson’s full-time wrestling career is set to come to an end next year, with him already noting that it will end once he loses the AEW World Championship.
Danielson is set for his next defence of the title at WrestleDream against Jon Moxley, and his health status has been questioned heading into the show.
Bryan recently detailed his match on AEW Dynamite with Kazuchika Okada, and how he lost feeling during the match.
Speaking to Undisputed, Bryan Danielson commented on his status heading into WrestleDream, noting that he is concerned to an extent, but he can still perform at the level he wants to.
He said:
“Is our trainer worried about it? To an extent, yes. Am I worried about it? To an extent, yes. Is my wife concerned about it? Very much so. But there’s been times in my career I’ve been more concerned.
“My overall health for the long-term is the biggest thing. Right now, everything is fixable. In the short term, it’s all about whether I can perform at the level I want to perform at. I know I can. I’m exactly where I want to be, fighting someone I want to fight–I know the answer is yes.”
