Tony Khan is the man in the chair when it comes to booking and he’s made some bold predictions about AEW Worlds End.
The final pay-per-view on this year’s calendar for AEW takes place on Saturday, December 30, 2023.
With MJF being haunted by masked devils over recent shows, we saw a new twist with Samoa Joe laying waste to the AEW World Champion on the December 27 episode of Dynamite.
During the AEW Worlds End media call, Tony Khan shared his thoughts on what to expect at the upcoming pay-per-view with the storyline, saying:
“It feels like we’re getting close to that point. I do expect some big revelations and big moments at Worlds End.
“It’s its own idea, and it’s something that I’m excited about.
“I do feel like it’s coming close to the culmination and it does feel like the secrets will be revealed at Worlds End, and I’m looking forward to it.
“It’s been very different than the other aspects of AEW. One aspect of it has been really interesting and it’s been something to keep people hooked and those people that want to see that kind of episodic story is really something that has a lot of people talking and built a lot of interest for Worlds End is the identity of the Devil.”
There’s been plenty of speculation as to who is behind The Devil mask with Jack Perry frequently trending on Twitter.
During Dynamite, it was also revealed that Joe may have been working with The Devil as a message stating “Pleasure doing business with you” appeared on the big screen (as seen below).
This is all, of course, leading up to their match at the pay-per-view for the AEW World Championship.
Tony Khan recently spoke about who helped book the December 27 episode of AEW Dynamite.
