AEW commentator Jim Ross has provided an update on his status for the upcoming Grand Slam event from New York City.
After dealing with various health issues, Jim Ross has become a consistent part of the big matches for AEW pay-per-views in 2024.
Ross was recently on the call for the Bryan Danielson vs. Swerve Strickland main event at All In London and the Hangman Adam Page vs. Swerve Strickland Lights Out Steel Cage Match at All Out.
During the latest edition of the Grilling JR podcast, Jim Ross stated that he will be working the upcoming Grand Slam event from Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York City.
This is a change as Ross usually only works the pay-per-views, but AEW Grand Slam is one of the biggest episodes of Dynamite of the year, so it makes sense that he will be on the call.
Already announced for the event, AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson will face Nigel McGuinness for the first time in 15 years.
Also, Jon Moxley will go one-on-one with Darby Allin for Darby’s AEW World Title shot, and The Young Bucks will defend the AEW World Tag Team Championships against Will Ospreay and Kyle Fletcher.
JJA Sport Studio will provide any further updates for AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam when they become available.
