Current TNA World Champion Moose has discussed his decision to stay with TNA Wrestling rather than join the WWE.
At TNA Hard To Kill, Moose defeated Alex Shelley to win the TNA World Championship for the second time in his career. Since then, the leader of The System has dominated as the top champion in the company.
In 2023, the former NFL player made the decision to stick with TNA Wrestling instead of jumping ship to WWE.
Speaking with Metro UK, Moose admitted that it was a “hard decision” to stay with TNA Wrestling rather than join the WWE. He said:
“It’s never an easy decision. Let’s be honest, WWE is a place I always wanted to work for,”
“But TNA gave me an offer I couldn’t resist… and plus I had some things that I had some goals I had set for myself that I haven’t accomplished yet in TNA.”
Moose is scheduled to defend the TNA World Championship in a six-way main event against Josh Alexander, Steve Maclin, Nic Nemeth, Frankie Kazarian and Joe Hendry this Saturday, July 20 at Slammiversary.
The TNA World Champion also stated that the company’s current partnership with WWE is “way better” than the previous one with AEW, which you can read at this link.
