With AEW Collision coming to TNT starting this Saturday, fans have speculated about what the addition of the show could mean for a potential new rights deal for AEW.

As it stands, Collision was added to AEW’s ongoing deal with WBD, which is set to expire at the end of the year.
hen ROH was looking for a television home after Tony Khan bought the company last year, many had wondered if the show would also land on TNT or TBS.
ROH didn’t end up landing on the WBD networks, instead streaming live on the HonorClub streaming service.
Speaking with POST Wrestling and Wrestlenomic’s Brandon Thurston, Tony Khan has revealed that it was ‘never a consideration’.

Speaking about Collision’s upcoming debut, Khan said:
“I think the idea of two more hours of AEW was very appealing. What it meant was ‘AEW Dark’ and ‘AEW Dark: Elevation’ would be coming to an end, at least for now and they were great shows and they’ve been huge for the development of AEW.
“I think in the future Ring of Honor is going to be very important for the development of AEW.”

Claudio Castagnoli currently reigns as the ROH World Champion, with him showcasing the title on AEW television weekly.
