After suffering an injury in May, AEW star and ROH Women’s World Champion Athena has returned to action at an indie event.
Current ROH Women’s World Champion Athena has been out of action since the ROH TV taping on May 16, where she suffered a leg injury.
Despite being out of in-ring action, the AEW star has continued to appear on ROH programming with the injury being used for her storyline with Queen Aminata.
At the July 12 Prestige Wrestling Combat Clash PDX event, Athena was scheduled to face TNA Wrestling’s Masha Slamovich.
The ROH Women’s World Champion wrestled in the bout after coming out in a walking boot and sold her injury.
The ending of the match saw Athena use her leg brace and nail Slamovich over the head with it to get the victory.
Athena is now set to defend the ROH Women’s World Championship against Queen Aminata on Friday, July 26 at ROH Death Before Dishonor.
The ROH Women's Champion Athena showed up at Prestige Wrestling ready to wrestle yet in a walking boot.
