An AEW star has made their return to the company after over 5 months away after recent reports of an impending return.
On the February 16 episode of AEW Rampage, former AEW TNT Champion Sammy Guevara scored a victory over Jeff Hardy, in a match that would be Jeff’s last in the company.
At the end of the match, Guevara landed on Hardy’s head, causing him a concussion, and was later suspended due to not following the company’s concussion protocol.
Guevara has not appeared on AEW television since the February 24 episode of AEW Collision, where he lost to Powerhouse Hobbs in a no disqualification match.
It was recently reported by Fightful Select that a return to AEW television for Sammy had been discussed, and he has now made his return, though it technically didn’t take place on AEW television.
At today’s Ring of Honor television tapings, Guevara made his return to the company after over five months away, aiding new ROH Six-Man Tag Team Champion Dustin Rhodes in an attack by the Dark Order.
You can see the clip of Guevara’s return below.
