In-Ring Segment: Jey Uso
Before Jey can finish his thought, Roman Reigns’ music hits. Reigns, Solo Sikoa, and Paul Heyman make their way to the ring. Jey stares daggers at Reigns. Reigns tells New Orleans to acknowledge him. The crowd obliges. Reigns notes the reason the WWE Universe likes the Usos are because of him. This is his show, so when he’s on it, he’s opening it. Jey must have forgot. They called Uso the “Right Hand Man” and “Main Event” because of him. Reigns accuses Jey of trying to be him. Jey says he never wanted any of that.
All he did for Reigns was watch his back and support him. He believed in Reigns. He believed that Reigns could lead this company and more importantly, this family. But Reigns broke this family. He broke Jimmy and it’s all Reigns’ fault. Reigns chuckles and tells the crowd to shut up. Reigns says its all Jey’s fault. The first thing Jey did when Jimmy got hurt was ask for a title shot. Reigns tells Jey when he beats him, Jey will be gone. Done.
Reigns says if Jey were to beat him, he takes the title and the lei. It doesn’t matter because even if it happened, at the end of the day he is still Roman Reigns. Jey will have nothing and no one. Reigns asks Jey why he thinks he could ever beat him. Jey says because he already beat him. At SummerSlam, he’s gonna beat him again.
Backstage, Jey Uso decks Grayson Waller for implying he’s going to lose to Roman Reigns at SummerSlam
United States Invitational: Rey Mysterio vs. Santos Escobar (Winner gets a United States Championship Match)
Escobar and Mysterio shake hands before the match. Mysterio and Escbar trade submission and pin attempts. Escobar and Mysterio start to slap each other. Frustration over neither man being able to get a firm advantage. Mysterio sends Escobar into the rope. Escobar avoids a 619 by rolling out of the ring. Mysterio lands a somersault senton. United States Champion Austin Theory is in a sky box watching the match. After the break, Mysterio lands a seated senton. Escobar lands a series of flying elbow strikes.
Escobar gets a near fall after a crossbody off the top. After a series of counters, Mysterio takes Escobar over with sunset flip. Escobar kicks out. Mysterio runs right into a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Mysterio ends up on Escobar’s shoulders. Both men fall over the top. Escobar lands on his feet. Mysterio sends Escobar flying into the ring apron with a rana. Mysterio tries his baseball slide splash. Escobar moves out of the way. Tope sucicda by Escobar. After the break, a doctor is checking on Mysterio, who was apparently injured when his head hit the ramp. The referee declares Escobar the winner.
Winner- Santos Escobar
After the match. Mysterio gets to his feet. Escobar and Mysterio hug.
Backstage, Bianca Belair says she is ready for anything at SummerSlam. Sonya Deville and Chelsea Green interrupt. Green and Deville make fun of Belair for not being a champion anymore. Deville wonders why all the attention is on Belair when she’s a loser. Green mocks Charlotte Flair. Belair challenges Green and Deville to a match tonight. Flair walks in and says she can’t have Belair getting hurt before SummerSlam. Flair asks Belair to team with her tonight. Belair says nope. Flair says that makes her want to make this happen even more. She’s going to take to Adam Pearce to get the match made.
In-Ring Segment: Hit Row
Top Dolla, B-Fab, and Ashante Thee Adonis crap all over New Orleans. LA Knight’s music hits. Knight makes a joke about Dolla looking like Uncle Phill.
LA Knight vs. Ashante Thee Adonis w/Hit Row
Ashante attacks Knight. Top Dolla gets a cheap shot while the referee is distracted. Ashante runs into a boot from Knight. Dolla gets on the apron and gets decked by Knight. Powerslam but Knight. Knight hits the BFT on Ashante for the win.
Winner- LA Knight
Backstage, Adam Pearce tells Jey Uso that Grayson Waller has been banging down his door demanding a match with Uso tonight. Jey yeets…. That means he agrees to the match. Come on, keep up.
Backstage, Bobby Lashley is with The Street Profits. Lashley tells Ford and Dawkins they are both stars and should be treated as such. They have to dress the part through. Everyone stares at Dawkins. Dawkins asks if they have a problem with sweats. Lashley says no, but he has a gift for them both. A model wheels out a rack of suits.
Bianca Belair and Charlotte Flair vs. Unidisputed WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville
Belair runs over Green. Flair tags herself in and kicks Green in the face. Belair is pissed. Flair slams Green’s head into the mat. Flair tags in Belair. Green stomps on Belair’s foot. Belair slams Green. Deville tags in and gets flattened by a handspring moonsault by Belair. Belair tosses Deville and Green all over the ring. Deville surprises Belair with a running boot. After the break, Green and Deville try to double suplex Belair.
Belair reverses it and suplexes both women at the same time. Belair tags in Flair. Flair catches Green and Deville with a crossbody off the top. Flair clears the ring. Green kicks out of a cartwheel clothesline from Flair. Flair gets booted into the corner. Belair tags herself in and lands a flurry of offense on Deville. Belair picks up Deville for the KOD. Flair tags herself in and boots Green in the face. Belair and Flair argue. Deville pulls Belair out of the ring. Flair pins Green.
Winners- Bianca Belair and Charlotte Flair
After the match, Belair and Flair argue.
Backstage, Grayson Waller says Jey Uso is too distracted by his family issues to be able to handle the Grayson Waller Effect.
Backstage, Karl Anderson tells AJ Styles, Gallows, and Mia Yim to let him do this next match on his own. Styles begrudgingly agrees.
Karrion Kross w/Scarlett vs. Karl Anderson w/Gallows
As soon as the bell rings Anderson lands a European uppercut. Anderson lands a flurry of strikes. Anderson dives off the second rope and hits a neckbreaker. Kross kicks out. After a distraction from Scarlett, Kross kicks Anderson in the knee. Kross screams for Styles as he lands a Doomsday Saito. Anderson gets to his feet. Kross Hammer by Kross. Kross hits the Final Prayer for the win.
Winner- Karrion Kross
After the match, Kross traps Anderson in the Kross Jacket. The OC runs down to the ring. Kross walks off.
Backstage, Reigns, Heyman, and Sikoa watch Jey Uso make his way to the ring via a monitor.
Jey Uso vs. Grayson Waller
Jey forces Waller into the corner. Waller screams for the referee. Jey gives Waller a clean break. Waller locks in a side headlock. Jey sends Waller into the ropes. Shoulder block by Waller. Jey responds with a running elbow. Waller dropkicks Jey’s legs, sending him flying into the corner. Waller beats down Jey. Jey fires up and knocks Waller into the corner. Jey calls for a hip attack. Roman Reigns music hits.
Reigns, Heyman, and Sikoa walk to the ring. Waller surprises Jey with a leg lariat. After the break, Reigns is seated at ringside. Waller does his version of the People’s Elbow, but Jey moves out of the way. Jey misses a hip attack. Waller tries the Rolling Thunder Stunner. Jey reverses it into a superkick. Samoan drop by Jey. Jey stares at Reigns. Waller gets to his feet. Jey Spears Waller. Jey hits the Uso Splash for the win.
Winner- Jey Uso
After the match, Sikoa attacks Jey from behind. Jey ducks the Samoan Spike. and superkicks Sikoa. Reigns hits the ring and misses a clothesline. Jey Spears Reigns! Jey goes up top. Sikoa pushes Jey off the top. Jey gets stunned on the top rope. Sikoa crushes Jey with Spinning Solo. Reigns and Sikoa hit Samoan Domination (The Spear/spike combo). Jey is barely moving. Reigns gets upset at the crowd chanting. Reigns tells Sikoa to pick Jey up. Sikoa and Reigns hit Samoan Domination on Jey again. Jey isn’t moving. Sikoa stares at Jey as Reigns celebrates.
