On July 31, WWE presented the SummerSlam go-home edition of WWE RAW from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
The results are as follows:
In-Ring Segment:
Logan Paul came to the ring and insulted the crowd. He said he was there for Ricochet. Paul recalls how Ricochet “victimized and abused” him last week. He vows to beat Ricochet in the most viral match in WWE history at WWE SummerSlam. Ricochet interrupts and tells Paul that he wasn’t the good guy in this situation. He says their match will be “all-time”, and it will be box-office. Ricochet calls Paul a horrible human being but gives him credit for being an athlete and a showman. Paul responds by saying Ricochet was one of the greatest until he showed up. He says he made them go viral with their spot at WWE Royal Rumble.
Paul says they’ll have a “hell of a match” at SummerSlam and offers Ricochet a handshake. He then tells Ricochet the announcer will announce the winner. Paul points out that the announcer is Ricochet’s fiancée, and she will announce him as the winner.
Ricochet takes the fight to Paul. They brawl. Paul drops Ricochet with a knockout punch in mid-air.
Backstage, WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther is asked about his match with Drew McIntyre at WWE SummerSlam. He says he’s focused on the present, and he scolds Ludwig Kaiser for not being able to take care of business last week. Gunther points out that Drew McIntyre is not present, so Kaiser has a chance to redeem himself against Matt Riddle tonight. He also says he will end McIntyre at WWE SummerSlam.
Matt Riddle vs. Ludwig Kaiser (with Gunther & Giovanni Vinci)
Riddle and Kaiser feel each other out early on. They trade blows. Riddle gets a two-count with a Fisherman Suplex. Kaiser sends Riddle shoulder-first into the ring post. Riddle goes sprawling out of the ring. Kaiser takes control. Riddle kicks Kaiser and takes him down with a Floating Bro. Back in the ring, Riddle fires up with a flurry of offense. Kaiser takes control and slams Riddle.
He gets a two-count with a stiff kick. Riddle floors Kaiser with a powerbomb. Riddle catches Kaiser with a kick but eats an Enzuigiri. Kaiser pins Riddle with a DDT.
Winner: Ludwig Kaiser
Gunther shakes Kaiser’s hand after the match.
Logan Paul is asked about what happened earlier, and he says he gave Ricochet a small taste of what’s going to happen at WWE SummerSlam. He again says it’ll be one of the most viral matches in WWE history.
A video package recaps Brock Lesnar’s feud with Cody Rhodes.
Maxxine Dupri (with Alpha Academy) vs. Valhalla (with the Viking Raiders)
Valhalla takes the fight to Dupri. The Alpha Academy graduate hits an arm drag. Valhalla drills her with a knee. She pulls Dupri by her hair and grounds her. Dupri rocks Valhalla with a kick and hits a Fisherman suplex. Otis hypes Dupri up on the apron. Dupri does The Caterpillar.
Otis and Gable brawl with the Viking Raiders. Valhalla drills Dupri with a blow to the head. Dupri drops Valhalla with a Queen Suplex for the win.
Winner: Maxxine Dupri
Tommaso Ciampa confronts Shinsuke Nakamura and says he’s going to fix the problem between them tonight. He also makes it clear that he intends to win the SummerSlam Battle Royal. Nakamura says he will beat Ciampa and go on to win the battle royal.
In-Ring Segment: The Judgment Day
The Judgment Day (Rhea Ripley, Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor, and Damian Priest) come to the ring. Ripley says WWE RAW doesn’t start until they show up. She also says they have no problem taking people out. Priest names the people they have taken out. He claims that nobody can stop them. Balor focuses on Seth Rollins and says he acts insane. He describes how he has actually been insane as a result of the way that Rollins spoiled his career seven years ago. Balor promises to get revenge by inflicting stars on Rollins. Mysterio tries to speak, but the crowd drowns him out with boos.
Ripley brings up Raquel Rodriguez and takes a shot by saying she’ll have to run and hide. Rodriguez comes out and brawls with Ripley. Rodriguez clotheslines her out of the ring. Dominik distracts Raquel, and Ripley capitalizes by attacking Raquel’s injured knee. Ripley stands tall at the end of the brawl.
A video package highlights the feud between Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler ahead of their match at WWE SummerSlam. Baszler and Rousey discuss their history.
Backstage, Chad Gable and Otis hype up Maxxine Dupri after her win. He says one of them will win the SummerSlam Battle Royal. Imperium interrupts. Dupri notes that Gable is an Olympic athlete. Gunther calls Otis a freak. Ludwig Kaiser says Gable wouldn’t last five minutes with Gunther. The WWE Intercontinental Champion says he wouldn’t need five minutes to beat Gable. Gable challenges him to a match.
Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Tommaso Ciampa
Ciampa and Nakamura get the action stared right away, but they’re evenly matched. Bronson Reed is shown watching backstage. Ciampa takes control and chops Nakamura. “The King of Strong Style” drills Ciampa with some kicks. Ciampa nails Nakamura with a knee.
Nakamura gets a two-count with a German suplex. Nakamura hits Ciampa with a knee to the mid-section. Nakamura continues to target Ciampa’s mid-section. He rolls Ciampa up and scores the win.
Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura
Backstage, Raquel Rodriguez was in the trainer’s room. Adam Pearce showed up and said Raquel wasn’t cleared, but she would get her match against Ripley once she was.
In-Ring Segment: Brock Lesnar and Cody Rhodes
Brock Lesnar comes to the ring. He highlights his background and his past accolades. He says it’s fight week, and the hype is over. Brock notes that he’ll be paid to fight Cody Rhodes at WWE SummerSlam. He says Rhodes will get paid “to get his ass kicked” by Brock Lesnar. He calls Rhodes out. Rhodes answers the call and gets into the ring. Lesnar takes his cowboy hat off to show he means business. They shake hands and stare each other down. Lesnar tries to walk away, but Cody doesn’t move. Lesnar pushes his way through. Cody dives onto Brock at ringside. Lesnar hits Rhodes with the steel steps twice. Lesnar hits Cody with the steps again. Brock gets Cody in the ring and hits the F5.
Five-Minute Challenge: Gunther vs. Chad Gable
Gunther overpowers Gable early on and locks in a half-crab. The WWE Intercontinental Champion grounds Gable and continues to control the action. Gunther stomps on Gable. The Alpha Academy star rallies with some strikes. Gunther chops him. “The Ring General” drills him with a stiff blow. Gable goes for a German suplex, but Gunther counters and chops him. Gable traps Gunther in an ankle lock. Gunther escapes and chops Gable again. He traps Gable in a sleeper hold. He clubs Gable with more blows. Gunther goes for a powerbomb. Gable reverses, and both men spill out of the ring. Gable gets back inside, and the time-limit expires.
Winnter: Chad Gable
Gunther says the match isn’t over, and he demands more time. The match is ordered to continue.
The match continues during a commercial, and Gable hits a moonsault. Gunther takes control. Gable traps Gunther in an arm-bar in the ropes. He targets Gunther’s arm. Gable takes Gunther down and goes for an arm-bar again. Gunther dumps Gable with a German suplex. Gable keeps fighting, but Gunther rocks him with a chop. Gable suplexes Gunther. Gable goes to suplex Gunther again but eats some stiff chops instead. Gunther pins Gable with a powerbomb.
Winner: Gunther
Gunther gets on the broadcast table and says he will not lose the WWE Intercontinental Championship at WWE SummerSlam. He tells Drew McIntyre that he will suffer the same fate as Gable.
Backstage, Seth Rollins and Sami Zayn get ready for their tag team match later in the show.
In an interview, Cody Rhodes says Brock Lesnar could break his arm again, but it wouldn’t matter. He says the aura of the Beast will be shattered at WWE SummerSlam.
In-Ring Segment: Becky Lynch
Becky Lynch says she has done everything necessary to earn a rematch with Trish Stratus. She challenges Trish Stratus to face her then and there. Stratus comes out and says she won’t let Lynch tell her when their match will be. The WWE Hall of Famer takes a shot at the Houston Astros. Stratus noted that she’s dealing with a “situation,” and she pointed to her face. Adam Pearce comes out and says Lynch will get her match with Stratus right now.
Becky Lynch vs. Trish Stratus
Zoey Stark instantly attacks Becky Lynch, so the match ends in a disqualification.
Winner via disqualification: Trish Stratus
Lynch brawls with Stark and Stratus after the bell. Stratus hits Lynch with a chair.
Backstage, Adam Pearce approaches Trish Stratus and Zoey Stark and says what just happened was unacceptable. He says Stratus will face Lynch in two weeks in Winnipeg.

Seth Rollins & Sami Zayn vs. “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio & Damian Priest (with Finn Balor and Rhea Ripley)
Rollins and Zayn take the fight to Priest and Mysterio during their entrance. They brawl at ringside. Zayn dives onto the Judgment Day members. Rollins chases Balor the back and comes back to the ring. Zayn starts the bout and takes control. Rollins tags in and double-teams Priest with Zayn. Mysterio and Priest gain the upper hand. Balor comes back to ringside and attacks Rollins. After a commercial, Zayn makes the hot tag and gains momentum with a flurry of offense. He dives onto Priest at ringside. Zayn counters the 619 from Dominik. Rollins tags in and dives onto Priest three times.
Rollins superkicks Priest. Ripley distracts the referee, and Dominik attacks Rollins. Zayn clotheslines Dominik at ringside. Balor blindsides Zayn with a kick. Priest hits the Razor’s Edge on Rollins. Priest looks at his Money in the Bank contract. Balor gets the case and gives it to Priest. Rollins superkicks Priest. He fights off Dominik, and Zayn kicks Balor off the apron.
Rollins pins Priest with the Stomp.
Winners: Seth Rollins & Sami Zayn
