AEW Collision results – February 24, 2024

This week’s episode of AEW Collision kicks off with a No DQ match between Sammy Guevara and Powerhouse Hobbs.

Powerhouse Hobbs defeated Sammy Guevara in a No DQ Match
Powerhouse Hobbs hits Sammy Guevara with the World’s Strongest Slam off the second rope through a table to win the match via pinfall.

Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli are backstage. Moxley accepts FTR’s challenge for a rematch at AEW Revolution.

FTR defeated Shane Taylor Promotions
FTR hits Lee Moriarty with an inverted Doomsday Device. Dax Harwood scores the pinfall victory for his team.
Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood get on the microphone following the match. Wheeler says Moxley says to step up or get stepped on, but FTR are like cockroaches, and it will be very hard to step on them and kill them.
Dax Harwood believes Jon Moxley is scared of them because they don’t fear him. Harwood says FTR are coming for Moxley’s head at Revolution.

A video package plays for Bryan Danielson, hyping up that 2023 will be his last full-time year inside the squared circle.

Thunder Rosa defeated Ladybird Monroe
Thunder Rosa hits Ladybird Monroe with the Tijuana Bomb to secure the pinfall victory.

Kris Statlander, Willow Nightingale, and Stokely Hathaway are backstage. Hathaway doesn’t appreciate the animosity coming from Julia Hart and Skye Blue. Statlander challenges Skye Blue to a match next week.

The Bang Bang Scissor Gang (Jay White, Colten Gunn, and Billy Gunn) defeated Iron Savages and Jacked Jameson
Jay White hits Jacked Jameson with the Blade Runner to score the pinfall victory for his team.

Bryan Danielson is backstage. Danielson says Jun Akiyama is a legend and someone he respects. Danielson says Akiyama is Eddie Kingston’s here, and he’ll be on commentary to watch his hero lose to him. Bryan says he has no respect for Kingston and makes fun of his promo style.
Danielson says Kingston has been wasting his potential for years until recently, and it pisses him off. Danielson says he’ll defeat Kingston and win the Continental Crown at Revolution.

Malakai Black defeated Bryan Keith
Malakai Black hits Bryan Keith with The End to secure the pinfall victory.
The lights go out after the match, they come back on, and Mark Briscoe is in the ring with Malakai Black holding a kendo stick. Buddy Matthews and Brody King hit the ring, but Briscoe hits them with the kendo stick and sends them out of the ring.
Briscoe pulls a steel spike out of his boot and goes to hit Malakai with it, but he moves, and Briscoe hits the turnbuckle instead. Black hits Briscoe with The End, and Matthews and King return to finish Briscoe off with the Gonzo Bomb as House of Black leaves Briscoe laying.

A video package plays recapping Sting and Darby Allin’s promo from AEW Dynamite on Wednesday towards The Young Bucks.

Serena Deeb defeated Lady Frost
Serena Deeb locks Lady Frost in a single-leg Boston Crab to win the match via submission.
Serena Deeb gets on the microphone and says the AEW Women’s Division is picking up steam, and she once again puts out an open challenge to anyone who wants to face or anyone who wants to join the division to take her on. Deeb takes shots at Toni Storm and says she’s here to put the wrestling back in All Elite Wrestling.

Eddie Kingston joins the commentary team for tonight’s main event.
Bryan Danielson defeated Jun Akiyama
Bryan Danielson hits Jun Akiyama with the Busaiku knee to secure the pinfall victory.
Danielson and Akiyama shake hands after the match. Danielson flips Kingston off, and Akiyama slaps him in the face. Bryan tries to apologize to Akiyama and shakes his head again before kicking him in the dick. Kingston hits the ring and takes down Danielson. Claudio and FTR come out to separate all parties as AEW Collision goes off the air.
