In-Ring Segment: SmackDown GM Nick Aldis
Aldis welcomes the crowd to the show before introducing the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Cody Rhodes. Rhodes joins Aldis in the ring. Aldis congratulates Rhodes on his victory at Backlash France. With that, Aldis wants to shift focus to the King and Queen of the Ring. Aldis knows Rhodes is a fighting champion, so he wants to introduce Rhodes to his next challenger. Logan Paul’s music hits.
United States Champion Logan Paul walks to the ring and shakes hands with Aldis. Rhodes asks Paul what he wants to talk about. Paul says this is the perfect way to usher in the Paul/Levesque era; Paul winning the WWE Championship at King and Queen of the Ring. Paul puts himself over. Rhodes puts over Paul. Rhodes notes that if they have a title-for-title match, Rhodes is going to become a grand slam champion. At the King and Queen of the Ring, Rhodes is going to win. Paul and Rhodes both hold up their championships.

Queen of the Ring Round One Match: Naomi vs. Nia Jax
Naomi lands a flurry of strikes. Jax runs over Naomi. Jax tosses Naomi clear across the ring. Before Naomi can respond, Jax flattens her in the corner. Naomi lands a few kicks to Jax’s leg. Bulldog by Naomi. Jax tries a corner spear, but Naomi avoids it. Jax eats the post and falls to the floor. Dive by Naomi. Jax surprises Naomi with a Samoan drop.
After the break, the fight spills out to the apron. Naomi lands the heatseeker. Naomi does a split-legged moonsault. Jax kicks out. Jax goes up top. Naomi cuts her off and hits an avalanche rana. Jax kicks out. Naomi lands a series of superkicks. Jax counters Naomi’s last kick and lands a powerbomb. Jax does a leg drop. Jax hits the Annhilator for the win.
Winner- Nia Jax

Backstage, Carmelo Hayes ridicules Baron Corbin for getting drafted to SmackDown off TV. Hayes claims his original opponent, Bobby Lashley, is ducking him.

King of the Ring Round One: Baron Corbin vs. Carmelo Hayes
Hayes takes Corbin down and lands a head kick. Hayes mocks Corbin. Corbin decks Hayes. Hayes flips out of a back suplex from Corbin. Corbin immediately clinches Hayes and lands a modified suplex driver. After the break, Hayes lands a springboard clothesline.
Head scissors into a facebuster by Hayes. Hayes runs into deep six. Brainbuster by Corbin. Hayes kicks out. Running knee by Hayes. Corbin avoids Hayes’ finish and hits a suplex cutter. Hayes kicks out. Corbin tries the End of Days. Hayes reverses it into a small package for the win.
Winner- Carmelo Hayes

Backstage, Randy Orton explains why becoming the King of the Ring is important. His first-round opponent, AJ Styles, is great, but hitting Styles with an RKO is Phenomenal. Orton starts to walk away but then comes back. Orton promises to hit Tama Tonga with more than RKO and promises he will see it coming.

Queen of the Ring Round One Match: Jade Cargill vs. Piper Niven w/Chelsea Green
Cargill and Niven circle each other. Cargill tries a shoulder block. Niven doesn’t go down. Niven smiles at Cargill. Niven tries a shoulder block. Cargill doesn’t go down. Cargill floors Niven with a lariat. Niven tries a slam. Cargill slips off and lands a superkick. Cargill tries a corner splash. Niven catches Cargill and hits a spinebuster. Senton by Niven. Cargill kicks out. Niven works over Cargill. Green slaps Cargill while the referee is distracted.
Niven continues her assault. Cargill surprises Niven with a spinning back suplex. Niven kicks out. Cargill lands a series of splashes in the corner. Green tries to get involved and gets decked by Cargill. Cargill tries Jaded. Niven fights out of it and flattens Cargill in the corner with a cannonball. Cargill kicks out. Niven tries to go up top. Cargill pulls Niven off the top, lands a big boot, and hits Jaded for the win.
Winner- Jade Cargill
After the match, Bianca Belair meets Cargill on the ramp as she is making her way to the ring for her match. Belair and Cargill dap each other up and celebrate.

Queen of the Ring Round One Match: Bianca Belair vs. Candice LeRae w/Indi Hartwell
Belair tosses LeRae around the ring. Hartwell gets a cheap shot, tripping Belair on the apron. Belair still manages to land the corner ten punches. Belair does a backflip off the ropes but tweaks her knee in the process. LeRae works over Belair’s leg. LeRae tries a springboard, but Belair catches LeRae and hits the KOD for the win.
Winner- Bianca Belair

King of the Ring Round One: Tama Tonga w/The Bloodline vs. Angelo Dawkins w/Montez Ford
As soon as the bell rings, Tonga forces Dawkins into the corner. Tonga works over Dawkins with rights and lefts. Tonga misses a corner splash. Dawkins lands a series of punches. Clothesline by Dawkins. Spinning Splash by Dawkins. Dawkins pounces Tonga clear across the ring. Sikoa gets on the apron. Dakwins floors Sikoa with a punch. Ford dives off the apron and lands on Sikoa and Tanga Loa. Dawkins crushes Tonga with the Accolade. Tonga kicks out. Outside the ring, Loa holds Ford while Sikoa Samoan Spikes him. Dawkins tries to make the save, but Tanga hits the Complete Shot for the win.
Winner- Tama Tonga

King of the Ring Round One: Randy Orton vs. AJ Styles
Orton sends Styles over the top with a clothesline. Orton poses while Styles stews outside the ring. After the break, Orton lands a few strikes. Styles avoids a suplex and lands a dropkick, followed by a basement elbow strike. Orton rolls out of the ring. Sliding knee by Styles on the apron. Orton surprises Styles with a suplex on the barricade. Styles tries a diving elbow off the desk.
Orton catches Styles, suplexes Styles on the apron, then the commentary desk. Styles gets to his feet. Orton suplexes Styles on the desk again. Styles avoids Orton in the corner. Styles drop kicks Orton in the knee. Styles works over Orton’s injured leg. After the break, Orton tries the Orton DDT. Styles almost counters into the Calf Crusher. Orton rolls through. Orton and Styles trade counters.
Styles is knocked out to the apron. Styles tries his finish. Orton trips Styes on the rope. Styles rolls Orton into the Calf Crusher. Orton escapes and hits a powerslam for a near fall. Orton tries to set up a superplex. Styles slips out and slams Orton’s head into the turnbuckle. Styles goes out to the apron to set up his elbow. Orton hits the Orton DDT. Orton calls for the RKO. Styles avoids it and hits the Phenomenal Forearm. Orton manages to grab the bottom rope to break the count. Orton calls for the Styles Clash. Orton counters with an RKO for the win.
