All Elite Wrestling is back again with another star-studded show with the August 16 episode of AEW Rampage.
Tonight’s matches will see Nick Wayne and Kip Sabian go one-on-one, after the pair met backstage for some words last week on AEW Collision. Saraya will also address the world of AEW, where she’ll likely talk about a potential spot in a match next weekend at Wembley Stadium. A Trios Match between The Conglomeration and The Butcher & The Outrunners is also planned.
Elsewhere in the night, Top Flight will take on the MxM Collection, Nyla Rose is in action, and more.
Match 1: The Conglomeration defeat The Butcher & The Outrunners via pinfall
The opening match of the night saw The Conglomeration go to town on their opponents for most of the match. Toward the end, Briscoe hit a big Jay Driller finisher on Truth Magnum for the pin after he launched outside of the ring and onto the Outrunners just a few minutes earlier.
Match 2: Nyla Rose defeats Erica Leigh via pinfall
This one was absolutely no contest for Leigh, as she was quickly powerslammed by Rose to start the match. Rose went to work after that, eating a dropkick and then hitting the Beast Bomb for the quick win.
In-ring segment: Saraya and Harley Cameron
Inside the ring, Harley says that tomorrow is Saraya’s birthday, and everyone should be ashamed for not knowing and wishing her a happy birthday. The superstar begins singing happy birthday to her, but Saraya cuts her off. Saraya said that a year ago, she won the AEW Women’s World Championship at Wembley Stadium, and after losing it, never even got a chance for a rematch. In the time since, she’s lost friends, has been left off of pay-per-views, and more.
Before she could say more, Toni Storm came out to the ring. After mocking her for a bit, Storm said that if Saraya could beat her next week on AEW Dynamite, she’ll give up her spot at Wembley Stadium and let Saraya compete for the title.
Match 3: Nick Wayne defeats Kip Sabian via pinfall
This one ended pretty quick, as Sabian hit a massive moonsault on Wayne but was unable to do much else. In the end, Nick hit the Wayne’s World after some interference from Mother Wayne and Killswitch, leading to the pin and win.
Match 4: Kyle Fletcher & RUSH defeat Rhett Titus & KM via pinfall
This was another super quick one, as Fletcher dropped Titus to the ground with a big slam, and then RUSH proceeded to throw him into the corner for some more damage. After a Bull’s Horns, this one was over.
Match 5: Top Flight defeats MxM Collection via pinfall
In the main event of the night, it was Top Flight that walked out on top with a big win. They stumbled a bit early on, however, but were able to rally back after Mansoor was distracted by a pose-off between Madden and Leila.
After gaining the upper hand, Top Flight never let it go, and the match came to an end after Darius Martin hit a big brainbuster on Mansoor, and then let Dante follow it up with a splash from the top ropes for the pin.
