WWE’s Sami Zayn has named a top free agent of the wrestling world as a “dream opponent”, hoping to face him again one day.

Zayn was responding to a video shared on Twitter of Kota Ibushi shooting himself with fireworks in East London while standing on top of a parked car and surrounded by fans.
The clip was from March 2017 in Bethnal Green where Ibushi was appearing for WXA when Ibushi teamed with Gota Ihashi.
With the clip resurfacing thanks to Dark Puroresu Flowsion, Zayn commented:

Zayn and Ibushi crossed paths between 2008 and 2012 when Zayn performed as El Generico.
The pair would face each other at DDT in Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan as well as for CHIKARA and ROH.
Zayn would sign a WWE contract in January 2013 and has been a fixture on their programming since.

Kota Ibushi left New Japan Pro-Wrestling in February 2023 after his contract expired.
Since then, he has spoken about his future plans, indicating that one of his goals is to wrestle for AEW.
Sami Zayn is one half of the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions with Kevin Owens, both of whom were on the recent episode of WWE Raw.
