There has been an update on World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest’s injury status following a scary spot at WWE Clash at the Castle.
Priest defended his title in the main event of the show, defeating Drew McIntyre to retain the belt following interference from CM Punk.
During the match, Priest attempted a dive to the outside, but ended up getting his leg caught up in the ropes, with him limping on his ankle for the rest of the match.
Many were concerned about Priest potentially suffering an injury in the match, and there has been an update on his status following the show.
Per PWInsider Elite, the belief among those in the company is that Priest is 100% OK following the match, and that there are no signs that he is expected to be out of the ring or concerns about changing his current storyline plans.
Following his victory at Clash at the Castle, Damian Priest is set to defend the World Heavyweight Championship against King of the Ring winner Gunther at WWE SummerSlam.
Priest will also defend in an untelevised match against Jey Uso at Madison Square Garden on June 28.
