An update has emerged on the WWE status of AJ Lee who was referenced by CM Punk on Raw last night.
Punk, Lee’s real-life husband, mentioned that for people wondering about AJ, she was doing well and sent her regards.
This obviously got a lot of people wondering about the prospect of AJ Lee making a return to WWE too.
According to PWInsider though, as of now, there has been “no discussion” of that happening.
Lee retired from in-ring action years ago, but had recently been an executive producer for WOW (Women of Wrestling).
She announced a few weeks ago that she was stepping away from that role.
Of course, Punk returning to WWE had been ruled out as impossible for so long, so even though it’s not currently in the works, it’s always possible AJ could make a comeback appearance or more at some point.
