An absent WWE star has returned to action for the first time in several months at a recent live event from Allentown, PA.

Despite being called up from NXT to WWE’s main roster all the way back in April for the WWE Draft, Odyssey Jones has still yet to appear a single time on main roster TV.
Jones was selected to be a part of Monday Night Raw and is still listed as such on the WWE.com roster page, however, over the summer Jones began competing in dark matches on SmackDown, leading many to believe he was set for a brand switch.
As we approach the end of 2023 however, Jones has still yet to show up on SmackDown, Raw or even back in NXT, with his most recent outing being at the Superstar Spectacle event in India back on September 8.
That is until a recent WWE Live Holiday Tour event from Allentown, PA on December 2, which saw Jones unexpectedly return to team with Cameron Grimes to take on Austin Theory and Grayson Waller.

According to reports from the Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer, the crowd didn’t know who Jones was so there was “no heat” for the match, which is unsurprising given his complete absence from WWE TV for the majority of the year.
It’s worth noting that Jones was also in action the following night at another WWE Holiday Tour event from Newark, DE with him teaming up with Grimes once again to take on Theory and Waller.
The last reporting on Jones’ status came back in early October, with Fightful Select revealing that the super heavyweight’s name had been brought up in discussion’s surrounding Bobby Lashley’s faction alongside the Street Profits.

However, two months on and there has been no such movement on that, leaving the 29-year-old’s status as up in the air as it’s ever been.
