WWE looking to 'replicate' aspect of Backlash 2024

WWE are reportedly looking to replicate a certain aspect of their recent Premium Live Event Backlash from Lyon, France.

With a high bar set from the crowd in San Juan, Puerto Rico for WWE Backlash 2023, the crowd inside the LDLC Arena were certainly up for the task – becoming the highlight of the show for many fans who tuned in from home.
While they remained loud and lively all night long, there was perhaps one moment that stood out amongst all others – that being their reaction to ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso’s entrance.

Adding to what is always a standout entrance, the Lyon crowd provided their own personal touch held their phone lights in the air whilst mimicking Jey’s up and down hand movement – creating a truly outstanding visual.
And according to Fightful Select, this is something that WWE are hoping can be “replicated” at future events.

Fightful’s Corey Brennan noted that Jey’s reaction from the over 11,000 fans was received “incredibly well” within WWE.
The company are reportedly seeking to push fans towards mimicking the crowd in Lyon and will continue to dim the lighting in arenas for Jey’s entrance in an attempt to encourage this further.
Interestingly Jey himself would also take to Twitter to seemingly also encourage his fans to replicate the ‘fireflies’ entrance, making reference to the man synonymous with the entrance – Bray Wyatt.
