An update has emerged on a former champion’s WWE return, following heavy speculation about the star’s next run with the company.
Following Erick Rowan being removed from planned independent appearances, it was reported that Rowan had re-joined WWE following four years away.
Reports emerged about Rowan being spotted earlier this month, fuelling speculation about his comeback.
A new update has emerged on Rowan, with PWInsider reporting that two-time SmackDown Tag Team Champion was back at the Performance Center on Monday (May 20), preparing for his official on-air return.
Rowan hasn’t wrestled for WWE since losing to Drew McIntyre on the March 9, 202o edition of Raw, ahead of his release the following month.
The former Wyatt Family member made a one-off appearance for WWE in August 2023 during the Bray Wyatt-tribute episode of SmackDown, following Bray’s passing.
Wyatt is expected to be a member of a new faction that will reportedly pay homage to the “Bray Wyatt intellectual property.”
