Becky Lynch’s WWE contract is set to expire on June 1, 2024, with her final match taking place on the May 27 episode of Raw.
The match, which can be seen below this news story, saw Liv Morgan retain the WWE Women’s World Championship in a Steel Cage Match.
It was recently reported that Lynch would be ‘taking a hiatus’, which she was originally planning to do after WrestleMania before Rhea Ripley’s injury led to WWE bringing Lynch back into the fold.
More details have now emerged on Lynch’s plans courtesy of Wrestling Observer Radio, with Dave Meltzer stating:
“Becky Lynch is taking an extended leave, from what I was told it’s not like a short period of time. She was looking for a long period of time out.
“It’s probably, if he’s not on the road (Seth Rollins) it makes sense for her not to be on the road and they can’t be hurting for money where they need it right now, and you know maybe she’s looking for other things or maybe she’s not.
“She’ll be a free agent as of a couple days from now.”
Chris Jericho has also discussed the possibility of Lynch appearing in AEW, noting the big WWE names that ‘nobody thought would’ join the company.
After her last WWE match under her current deal, Lynch tweeted ‘to be continued‘.
