A potential spoiler has emerged on an upcoming WWE championship match, with it being heavily speculated that non-WWE stars will win the gold.

Following Nathan Frazer and Axiom regaining the NXT Tag Team Championship at Sunday’s (September 1) No Mercy premium live event, a three-way #1 contenders match was announced for the following edition (September 3) of NXT.
This match was ultimately won by TNA Wrestling stars Zachary Wentz and Trey Miguel, with the Rascalz defeating Mark Coffey & Wolfgang, and Hank Walker & Tank Ledger to earn a shot at the NXT Tag Team Championship.
With the TNA stars set to challenge for WWE gold, a recent report has fuelled speculation that they could soon win the NXT Tag Team Championship.

Per Corey Brennan on Fightful Select, ahead of Tuesday’s NXT episode, more TNA-NXT crossover is expected, with The Rascalz expected to be part of crossover plans “for the next couple of months”.
It was noted that NXT officials were “incredibly happy” with Zachary Wentz’ performances and attitude since making his return as a TNA star.
This report has fuelled speculation that Wentz and Miguel will have a reign with the NXT Tag Team Championship, considering they’re reportedly here to stay for a few months.

Wentz – who currently holds the TNA X Division Championship – notably defeated his former tag-team partner Wes Lee at NXT No Mercy.
The duo previously faced Frazer and Axiom for the NXT Tag Team Title on the August 6 NXT Great American Bash show, with Lee turning on the Rascalz after the bout.
