WWE Hall of Famer and Bloodline family member Rikishi believes Jacob Fatu is currently being “pushed too fast.”
On the June 21 edition of WWE SmackDown, Jacob Fatu debuted in the company by joining The Bloodline and attacking Randy Orton, Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes.
Since then, Fatu helped to bring the WWE Tag Team Championships back to The Bloodline and has become the official enforcer to the new “Tribal Chief” Solo Sikoa.
On his Off The Top podcast, his uncle and trainer Rikishi said he believes Jacob Fatu is being “pushed too fast” by WWE. He said:
“I think Jacob is being pushed too fast. When you go to Cody, where do you go from there? Cody is the guy right now. I’ve said this before, let Jacob rampage through the whole roster.”
“Give him a couple those enhancement matches to build. He don’t need but three minutes. Again, we’ve seen Jacob however long he’s been on, a couple months or whatever, but is there anything different? You can only do so much on a run-in. This is what I’m saying.”
“You really want to go with a guy? Show his talent, let him have not a match-match, [but] a squash match just so he can show his potential of what else this kid can do”.
Rikishi hasn’t been shy to bring criticism to WWE’s booking in regards to his son Jey Uso in recent months.
Jacob Fatu is scheduled to team with Solo Sikoa to face Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns on Saturday, October 5 at WWE Bad Blood 2024.
